Our Mission

Mythica Gaming is dedicated to building a portfolio of what we call Gateway Games—simple to learn, elegant in design, but with a depth of play often missing from traditional "family games"—in a variety of genres so everyone can join in the fun.

Our Philosophy

Play is important. It's good for the heart, mind, body, and soul. To meet the human need for play, we produce a wide variety of high quality games in different gaming genres that appeal to gamers and non-gamers alike. We want accessible games that non-gamers can understand and learn to play in a short time while simultaneously captivating gamers with variable and interesting gameplay.

We have watched and listened in awe at the impact our games have had on families and friendships. We are honored by the gift of your precious time spent playing our games. We want that time to always have been well-spent.

Jimmy Sanders

Jimmy has been a gamer since he was a toddler pointing out the best path to anyone playing the family's Legend of Zelda video game. At age 12, he was diagnosed with Stargardts Juvenile Macular Degeneration. Though he lost all central vision by the age of 17, his love of games only grew. While he attended college in pursuit of degrees in Chemistry and Biology, he enjoyed a wide range of role-playing and tabletop games. Jimmy is always playing new games with patrons of his hobby game store, Game Night, in Bartonville IL.

Jimmy brings his analytic mind and creative imagination, honed by his limited vision, to all his designs as the Lead Game Designer of Mythica Gaming. His goal is to create games that are elegant and simple in gameplay but complex and variable in strategy, making them accessible and interesting to non-gamers and gamers alike.

Theresa Weibler

Theresa holds a Bachelors of Fine Art from Southern Illinois University with a specialization in ceramics and has a background in metalwork and kiln-formed glass casting.

Theresa joined her brother Jimmy in creating Mythica Gaming, LLC in 2016. She took on the company's business operations and worked tirelessly to create a foundation that would carry them forward. Theresa created the original graphic design and initial marketing materials for Legends of Draxia and other games.

Danai Kittivathana

Danai is an accomplished professional visual artist. He and Jimmy were introduced by Jimmy's brother in November 2014. They quickly realized they shared a vision for a gaming company.

Danai was the original Lead Artist for Legends of Draxia and has created many of Mythica Gaming's art assets.

Collier Sanders

Collier is an engineer by trade and a longtime enthuisiast of Magic: The Gathering. Though no relation to Jimmy or Theresa, they have known each other since meeting in college.

Collier was integral to the early development of Legends of Draxia and for years accompanied Jimmy on the convention circuit as they demonstrated Mythica's games together.
