Legends of Draxia

Legends of Draxia is a fantasy strategy game which utilizes resource management cards to kill monsters, make buildings, and cast spells. Set in the mythical land of Draxia where dragons and other fiends terrorize the land, Legends of Draxia presents players with multiple paths to victory and plenty of meaningful decisions along the way.

Mythica Gaming's flagship title, the Legends of Draxia base game, is a resource management board game.

Players assume the role of various heroes, each with a different ability that will help you rack up Victory Points in a unique way. Whether you’d like to carve a path to glory by slaying monsters, gather resources to build cathedrals, or cast powerful spells, there's no wrong way to play.

Legends of Draxia is designed for 2 to 6 players ages 10 and up. An average game takes 20 to 40 minutes to play depending on the number of players and their level of gaming experience.

Expansion Sets

Mythica Gaming has developed expansion sets to the base game to enhance the Legends of Draxia experience.

Legends of Draxia Corrupted Mana expansion adds player vs. player interactions.

Legends of Draxia Monsters of Nairu expansion adds semi-cooperative play elements.

Creating Draxia
Notes from Jimmy Sanders, Lead Game Designer

Draxia is more than just a game. It's a game setting.

Like many mythical worlds, Draxia is filled with humans, dwarves, elves, dragons, and many other fantastic creatures, most of whom are struggling against one another for dominance in an unforgiving world. The most important element in Draxia isn't its inhabitants but its magic. Within Draxia a low level of magical power radiates around all things. This magical energy is so subtle that it is nearly undetectable. But it is also immensely powerful.

Eventually, the sentient races of Draxia discovered several properties about this magical energy. Foremost is that the magical energy can be harnessed and concentrated into mana pools by using bowls made of precious metal. The more precious the metal, the more magically reflective it is. For example, copper is less reflective than silver, and silver is less reflective than gold. This makes gold a very valuable item useful for making spells.

Conversely, if an inferior metal, such as lead, is used in the production of mana, what is produced is corrupted mana. Corrupted mana works spells as effectively as regular mana, however, its use will begin to twist and change its user over time. Before the dangers of corrupted mana were known, many of the most powerful ancient cities in Draxia had created vast mana pools out of these cheaper metals. Thus was born the creatures of the night, the undead.

Precious metals, corrupted mana, and the heroes who use them are key elements in Legends of Draxia, its expansions, and other games set in the Draxia Universe.
